Today, on the 15th Anniversary of 9/11 we pause to remember a day when it seemed as though the whole world stopped in its tracks. Many lives were lost, but there are also many stories of heroism. The the words of President George W. Bush, "Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children". Today, we pray for the families who lost loved ones, the first responders who showed true bravery and those in uniform who defended this country after that tragic day. Please take a moment to stop and remember. God Bless America - The Land of The Free. #NeverForget

The Meyer kids enjoying their day off from school - Hope everyone is having a fun and safe Labor Day!

Tough loss for the Highland Park ISD Scots last night against Waxahackie, but we're very proud of our team and their dedication! The Meyers enjoyed seeing Representative John Wray and his family at the game. Fun start to the Labor Day Weekend! #HD108 #HD10

Keana and I were honored to attend and be a part of the Dallas County Council of Republican Women's "POWER" Rally Luncheon, today. Congrats to Cindy Clendenen, Annette Thrasher Ratliff and many volunteers on a very successful event! There was a great turnout with friends, elected officials and candidates in attendance: Kenneth Sheets, Linda Koop for Texas, Texans for Rodney Anderson, Angie Chen Button for Texas, Richard Morgan, Steven Rayshell, Tom Spackman for Judge, Virginia Prodan, Dallas County Republican Party Chair Phillip Huffines, Susan Rankin, and many others.

Hope everyone in Dallas Independent School District and Highland Park ISD had a great first day of school! As of today, I officially have a 3rd grader and 5th grader! Not pictured: a 3 year old in snowman pajamas

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Park Cities for having Senator Don Huffines and me last week. We discussed priorities for the 2017 Legislative Session and took questions from the group. I always enjoy speaking to you all and hearing what you have to say - thanks again for having us!
